Hello everybody and welcome to Rob plays Survivor Warriors: Japan. Today's episode is brought to you by Regal Cinemas now showing "The Hobbit: Battle of the five armies" in IMAX 3D and Cozymels Costal Mexican, a great restaurant for all your work meals. Today we will get into the dynamics of the tribe and we will talk about alliances, tribal councils and pros/cons of each.
Last time we talked about how Nate had outed a potential alliance, how Corinne and I are close and how JFP and I are tight. I failed to mention Abi. Abi and I talk semi regularly. It's mostly small talk mixed with some forced flirting and a lot of broken english/google translate spanish. But there is a level of trust which we will talk about now. Lets go back to the night before yesterday.
Corinne and I were talking about the game and I was telling her how it is so strange that there haven't been any alliance talks. Of course I am lying to her because I am in a 4-person alliance of "The Regulators" starring Jon/Nate/Coach and I. And she said that it is probably a little early for paranoia. I suggested to her we should really try and bring in Abi to form a tight threesome. I also tell Abi the same thing so that both think I am tight with them but the other thinks I am tighter with the other. ... I don't even know if that makes sense. Lets see.
Abi believes I am her #1 and I suggested bringing in Corinne. But Abi talks to Corinne and makes it seem like the 2 of them are bringing me in as a third.

Yeah that is a bit clearer. Anyways, right on cue, Rupert comes on and messages everybody. In the past Rupert had said that he is worried about not being able to keep up 1:1 talks with everyone else. The double boot announcement has really made everyone nervous to the point that they assumed alliances are in place and want to get in one themselves. So he messages me and says "I don't know where to begin with alliance talks" I give him a casual but emphatic "I'm down". I really don't know if that boosted his confidence or something. I am going to let my narcissism take center stage and say it was MY acceptance that gave Rupert confidence to pitch and form the alliance of 5 of Rupert/Abi/Corinne/Jon and I. The BEST part of this Rupert really believes he put this together, Corinne had just insisted all along me and her should be in an alliance but should not be the initiators, Abi is cool and JFP and I have a side deal going on as well. The juiciest part of this is after the alliance was formed, I talked all 3 of these people and said essentially the same thing "We keep our deal on the dl right? " and got a very promising reply from all.
So after the excitement of that alliance had subsided, next day we discuss the vote. At this point me and Fairplay are juggling 2 alliances: one being "The Regulators" and the other being "Genji Alliance of Awesome". And since both these alliances together comprise everyone other than Greg, I really wanted the vote to be Greg but didn't want to be the one to mention it. Abi thankfully does not like Greg and thinks he is too erratic. Beautiful! Word spreads that Greg wants to target Rupert and is going around talking to everyone. Sweet! The vote is decided as Greg by the alliance of 5. I didn't have to do much there. Buuuuuuuut. The drama doesn't stop. Nate talks to Abi and says he is going on vacation from Monday to Friday. And Abi says, and I quote, "Oh poopiness" Bless her for being the way she is. So the debate is whether or not to keep a potentially inactive guy. While the debate is in progress, Greg keeps doing his paranoid thing and talking to everyone. He throws out Rupert's name to Coach. He throws out Nate's name to Fairplay. Its kinda sad to watch someone scramble so earnestly only to be somewhat shunned by an alliance that just came together a while back. Ultimately, Greg's paranoia is deemed to risky to keep around. And it will likely be a 7-1 vote against Greg.
On the Regulators side of things, Nate dogg and I had a decent chat where we talked about school stuff, and TV shows and such. And then discussed the vote. Nothing too detailed just casually "Yeah I have heard Greg's name. Let's go with it" He seems down and says he will lock it in. Now Coach also is leaning toward voting Rupert. Apparently Greg spread the word that Rupert is not very active. I tell Coach, I heard from Abi that Greg is the vote. Some stuff along the lines of Greg is erratic, too risky if a swap comes yadda yadda yadda and its done.
Now the Fairplay mentions in the GAOA chat that Greg told him he is voting Rupert. And hearing this everyone gets their panties in a bunch. So now I am assuming either they are talking to Greg seriously or just ignoring him. My only concern in this scenario is I led Greg on into believing I was voting with him. So if this gets back to Rupert or Fairplay then I might be in some hot water. I am trying to make sure I have my bases covered with Fairplay. We will see. I don't think it will affect much for this round.
So to summarize, Fairplay and I are a tight duo (in his eyes), Abi and I are a semi-tight duo, Corinne is my fav to talk to and is definitely my #1 as of now. I am in the good books of Coach and Nate and Rupert. Unless they all talk to each other and expose their alliances to each other, I am good for now.
Alright that is enough for one episode. I hope this gives an idea of what my read on the tribe dynamics is and gives a run down of what happened in this round. As always you can PM your questions or ask in this thread with #AskRobC if you want clarification on any of the events. This is Rob Cesternino signing off. Goodbye folks
