This game got off to a weird start for me.
I got the email from Jeremiah last night saying I was accepted into the game! Heck yeah! Haven't played an ORG in a while because they tend to wear me out and I tend to stop giving my all when it's the second or third one in a row, kinda like Thursday night football or back to back NBA games. I know my limits and I'm ready to push them nevertheless! So he tells me I'm gonna be Jaime Dugan. I have a history of playing as women with yellow buffs (Leann, Marisa), which is the real reason I picked her. So I immediately log into the board.
Or at least I attempt to. As it turns out, my email is already taken. I figured this was just from another proboards site like Sucks or something, so I make my Jaime account (whenicompeteitson) and start adding people. Then I put the AIM email in as my verification email and wait for it to come in.
....................Nothing. So I shoot Brian an IM and ask what's up. As it turns out, they already made a profile for me with an avatar and everything! And it has Nate's name on it! Now I'm doubly confused because I thought I was getting Jaime, but apparently it's Nate. I'm not opposed to this at all, really. So I attempt to make a Nate account. AIM tells me I've made too many attempts recently and it thinks I'm a spammer, so it tells me to fuck off. This gives me an excuse to be productive for a few hours. Then I come back and I'm still considered a spammer, so I walk down the street to the library. I make an attempt there, and it gives me the worst Captchas ever (seriously just use reCaptcha) and when I finally crack the forbidden code of the ancient Precursor orbs, it tells me I'm a spammer again.
>mfw
So now I gotta walk all the way back down the street and edit my old alias AIM. It's fully functional, but I don't get the chance to be chopdookies@aim.com. That would have been amazing! But I take what I can get, and I'm looking forward to surviving in the Japanese wilderness!
