So yeah, I have no idea where else to put this, but I just had the most joyous experience as a Survivor fan, and i wanted to share it with you guys.
Me and my buddy Justin (a non Survivor fan) have gotten together on Skype the past few days, and I got him to start watching Pearl Islands (my favorite season) with me. We've had a great time so far, laughing at the Morgan tribe's ineptitude, laughing at Lil (stuff like "I lost the hoooook" and "I'm such a bitch" sends him into hysterics.) He also is a pretty big Rupert fan from what he's said.
Then we hit episode eleven.
He's already pissed at Jon for voting out Rupert and duping Lil to vote with him, and he's ALSO mad at Sandra for dumping the fish out of the bucket. We get to the reward challenge, and I warn him "Alright man, things are gonna get a bit sad right here." "She died, dude." pops up on screen, and he suddenly goes "Oh..." and then goes silent a bit. I ask him how he feels about Jon, he says "He's a cool guy, for at least a few minutes."
Then Jon and Thunder D start complimenting each other on the beach...
"OH...
"Yeah, I couldn't cry though..."
"...MY..."
"My grandmother's sitting at home watching Jerry Springer right now..."
"...GOD!!!"
There's a moment of silence on the other side of the call, and then this happens.
"He's gonna use his grandmother as leverage and bring Lil to the finals AND HE'S GONNA FUCKING WIN THE GAME BECAUSE HE LIED ABOUT HIS MOTHERFUCKING GRANDMOTHER."
I tell you, in all my years as a Survivor fan, I have not laughed as hard or smiled as hard as I am right now. My friend is going through legit RAGE right now, and goes through like all five stages of grief in the span of about 10 minutes. It was beautiful. We've already made arrangements to start Borneo after we finish Pearl Islands. In his own words...

"I was LIVID with Jon for lying about his grandma, I was angry with my friend for going along with Jon's lie just to get a good reaction and finally I was reduced to an awed silence because, due to a mixture of shock and frustration, no proper sentences could be formulated that wouldn't come out as angry gibberish. To conclude, FUCK IT, I'M DONE!"
